General Information

Dr. Steven Merchant, a native of Southern California, attended Northwestern University School of Dentistry in Chicago.  His professional experience includes practicing general dentistry in private practice, public health and at a Veterans' Affairs hospital.  Dr. Merchant has also served as a clinical instructor at the UCLA School of Dentistry.  He completed two additional years of specialty training to earn his endodontic certification at the Long Beach Veterans' Affairs Medical Center.

Sarah, our Patient Care Coordinator, has joined us to further enhance the quality of your experience at our office.  She and her husband live locally with their two boxers.  Sarah is very athletic and swimming is her favorite sport.
 
Her prior training and experience gives her a strong foundation to best serve your needs and facilitate a positive experience with us.  Sarah is friendly and has a genuinely compassionate demeanor will put you at ease when you visit us.  It is a pleasure having Sarah on our team. 

Gretchen is the Scheduling and Financial Coordinator in our office.  Her dynamic personality and wonderful sense of humor makes her a perfect addition to our team. 

She brings a thorough knowledge of finance and customer service and will ensure that our patients have a memorable and positive experience with us.  Originally from Newport Beach, Gretchen's fun-loving Southern California spirit makes her a joy to work with.  When she's not assisting patients in the office, Gretchen loves cooking and spending time with her son.

Monica is our lead dental assistant.  Monica is an expert at assisting Dr. Merchant while utilizing the operating microscope.  Monica's strives to provide the most comfortable and efficient treatment experience possible.  She is meticulous about cleanliness and safety.  In her free time, Monica enjoys traveling, soccer, and other outdoor activities.

Melissa is the newest member of our dental team. Professionally, her purpose and passion is to help improve the lives of each and every one of her patients by providing the best possible care. In her free time, Melissa enjoys spending time with family and friends and enjoying our California weather.

He can't be found in our office, but he is nearby at the Wild Animal Park!
